Our ponds have been looking rather ugly these past few weeks. Here's an update from our pond maintenance contractor Jonesfish Lake Management. "This is just an update on the pond treatments that were completed today (8/8) at Crown Pointe. The pond closer to the pool had an outbreak of euglena algae (due to heavy rain; nothing to worry about) and was treated with copper sulfate. The back pond has had chara (vegetative algae) under the surface for a while now and regular copper hasn't been able to control it. Today it was treated with a Tribune (diquat) and copper sulfate mix, and should be able to tone it down."
