Fernbridge Traffic Survey

Many of you noticed, and some commented on, the traffic study the city conducted on Fernbridge. The city notified us of the results today. "... the 85th percentile speed was 8 mph over the posted speed limit. The City’s Traffic Calming Policy states that the 85th percentile speed must be 10 mph or greater over the posted speed limit before traffic calming will be considered. With this in mind, traffic calming is not warranted at this time." The BOD believes the majority of speeding vehicles are delivery vehicles, such as UPS, FedEx, or one of the many food delivery services. The city suggested residents call the police if they notice someone speeding in our community. If you notice speeding, please report it to the police.
